(i.e., the word that Jesus preached; so Michaels 79, believing it to be a parallel of the saying of Jesus found in the gospel tradition; Mark 13:31: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away”), or obj. (the word about Jesus that was preached; so Achtemeier 141; Elliott 391).
